Refuge

These are the words and thoughts that come to mind when I think of "refuge".

SAFETY
STRONG
SECURE
BEAUTIFUL
YOU GO HERE BECAUSE OF YOUR WEAKNESS
COVERING
COMFORT
TAKE A DEEP BREATH
REST
UNASHAMED

King David talked so much about how God was his refuge, strong tower, etc. He had a position of power, wealth, armies, guards, slaves, women, land and much more. He is known for his many mistakes and acts of disobedience. He also had one of the most intimate relationships with God and knew his place in the REAL Kingdom. And God called David his friend.

Finding refuge in God is like me telling Him I know who I am. I am a child of God, I am weak, and I can come to Him whenever I want. I have freedom in His refuge.
