So, while we were staying at Jesus People in Chicago we found out the zoo was free!!! So we figured out the bus route we needed to take, took a deep breath and hurled 3 kids onto the transit system. It really takes a lot of energy getting 3 small children and a red wagon onto a big city bus. We really didn't know what to expect with a "free" zoo. We figured at least it was a day out with the kids to see some animals and run around. Oh but it the most beautiful zoo we had seen! Huge, lots of animals (and they were all out), a beautiful day, and a family at JPUSA let us use their little red wagon to haul the kids. Yes, it was a wonderful day!
So, if you ever go to Chicago, make sure to hit the Lincoln Park Zoo, totally worth it!
