I had two hours at a coffee shop today to have some quiet time and work time. Oh my goodness, it was lovely. And then when I pulled into my garage, I was greeted by 4 happy little faces that were yelling, "Mommy!!!!!"
I realized I don't get too many opportunities to be missed and I love it. Not very often, but sometimes it is just what I need. It made me feel very special....my kids actually miss me when I'm gone.

oh my goodness!!! you lucky girl! I always wonder that too . . . we always get to see the joy when daddy comes home but rarely do we get to experience that joy directed towards us. it's a wonderful feeling!
I am glad you treated yourself to some 'time away'... every mommy should do that on a regular schedule. It is good for all of you.
