Yesterday I took some time to listen to this guy talk for a while about food, farming, and sustainable agriculture. We continue, as a family, to take one step at a time to walk out many ways to live sustainably, simply and sensibly. It takes perseverance, research and sacrifice to be more purposeful in what you are eating, growing, buying and feeding your children. And honestly, we are in a much more friendly place to explore and learn about this, living in Oregon.
If you have some time, I would highly recommend listening to this podcast with farmer and follower of Jesus, Joel Salatin. It is encouraging and very informative.

Love Joel Salatin...he's been the inspiration behind many of the new endeavors at Koinonia. I highly recommend his book "Family Friendly Farming" whether you ever intend to start a farm of your own or not. It has lots of common-sense parenting tips, I think you'd like it!
